Rapid Prototyping

3D Printing:

MACH-T3 uses an additive fabrication technology, sometimes referred to as 3D printing, to build functional prototypes for a variety of industries. Our standard 3D print material is ABSplus thermoplastic. Engineers and designers can use our ABSplus prototypes to test products before starting the lengthy and expensive tooling process. We can have your functional parts ready in a few hours.

Our on-site printers are capable of immediatley printing any part within a 10" X 10" X 12" envelope. Need a larger model exceeding our standard envelope? We have large scale 3D printers. Or how about a scaled model, or a full size model but printed in sections and rejoined?

3D Prototyping is an affordable alternative to machining, fabrication, molding and forming. It results in models for use in the following areas:

  • Form, fit and function testing - MACH-T3 prototypes help engineers and designers determine form, fit and function before investing in expensive tooling.
  • Design verification - Test your new products on the market and ensure that your design is right before going to mass production
  • Concept modeling - The freedom of multiple design iterations without cost penalty
  • Marketing meetings - Need to show your new concept to spark excitement? Print a 3D prototype. You can paint it, plate it or just simply show it.
  • Product testing
  • Customer approval meetings and proposals
  • Production mockups - Get a highly accurate and functional prototypes to ensure that your design is correct before investing in production.
  • Jigs and fixtures - Why invest in heavy, expensive jigs and fixtures that require assembly when you can build fixtures in one piece using MACH-T3 prototypes. And because they're made of thermoplastics, they're easier on employees, too.
  • Masters - You can use MACH-T3 prototypes as masters for vacuum forming, investment casting, sand casting and many other methods.
  • Thermoforming - Use thermoforming as an inexpensive alternative to plastic molding or other forming methods.

Pricing: Quotes are based on actual 3D models. Our printer rates start at $35 per hour. There are some print options that may help reduce the 3D printer time. Options to consider are: what is your desired resolution (0.010" v. 0.013")? Do you need a solid versus sparse (honeycomb interior part structure)? Email us your STL formatted model file to info@mach-t3.com. Tell us what the design intent of the part is and let us help you chose the right rapidprotoyping option.
